Car Crashes Into a House

Car into houseAttack 1871 responded to 510 Arch Street on the report of a car that crashed into a house.  Firefighters arrived to find a single vehicle lost control and crashed through the wall of the home, causing significant damage to the garage.  

 

The driver was still seated in the car but was not entrapped and was tended to by medical staff from a nearby office.  Northampton Regional EMS Medic 7582 evaluated the driver and transported them to the hospital for minor injuries received in the accident.

 

The homeowners were both in the house at the time of the accident.  Both were in a separate area from the garage and were uninjured, although very shaken up.

 

The building inspector was requested to the scene and also a restoration contractor to stabilize and board up the garage wall.  The building inspector determine the garage was stable and the occupants were allowed back into their home that evening.
