Automobile Fire at Buttonwood and Crane Streets

For the second call in 5 hours, Engine 1811, Squad 1851, and Asst Chief 1802 responded to a car fire on Buttonwood Street at Crane Street.  Lehigh County Radio was receiving multiple calls reporting a fully involved Ford Ranger at that location.

Upon arrival, Asst Chief 1802 confirmed a working automobile fire.  Engine 1811 went on location a short time later and stretched an attack line.  Using the compressed air foam (CAFS) capability of Engine 1811, the fire was quickly knocked down and extinguished.  Personnel were on scene for approximately 1 hour securing equipment, refilling the booster tank, and cleaning up after the vehicle was towed from the scene.
