Change Your Clocks, Change Your Batteries

Change Your Clock, Change Your BatteryChange Your Clock, Change Your Battery!

This Sunday at 2:00 am, Daylight Savings Time begins and we turn our clocks ahead one hour before going to bed.  The North Catasauqua Fire Department would like to remind everyone when you change your clocks, to also change your smoke detector batteries.

Smoke detectors are the single best way to be alerted to a fire before it is too late to escape safely.  Fresh batteries in your smoke detectors ensure their operation in your time of need.

NCFD recommends having a working smoke detector on at least every level of your home, including your basement, and one smoke detector in each bedroom.

First Photos of Ladder 1831

Direct from the Rosenbauer factory are some of the first photos of Ladder 1831's construction.  You'll see the cab is out of the paint booth and being buffed for the final paint completion.  The cab is sporting the department's revised color scheme of black over our traditional lime yellow.
