Secret Santa 2011

CSanta visits the Regits Familyhristmas came a little early for some children in North Catasuqua.  Santa Claus visited North Catasauqua on the morning of December 18, 2011, with a little help from the North Catasauqua Fire Department.

Santa was excited to check on borough's children and see who has been naughty or nice.  Santa was pleased and said he would be back in a next Sunday.

NCFD members and Santa made 37 stops, over double the amount last year.  We traveled nearly 7 miles (impressive since North Catty is 0.8 square miles).

Santa also delivered the Holiday Cheer Raffle prizes to Sharon Achey and John Loftus, both of North Catasauqua,  Sharon's winning ticket won the Grand Prize of $1000.  John won the 3rd Prize worth $100.

2011 Easter Egg Hunt

After a one day postponement, the NCFD Easter Egg Hunt was held April 17, 2011, at the North Catasauqua Park under partly sunny...and dry...skies.  The event was originally scheduled for April 16 but was delayed one day due to the uncooperative and rainy weather on April 16th.

Borough children were invited to attend the Egg Hunt and hundreds of them waited patiently for their turn.  Four age groups were set up for children up to 2 years old, children of 3 and 4 years old, children of 5 and 6 years old, and finally children of 7 and 8 years old.  The first age group started shortly after 1 pm.  Easter baskets were given as prizes to two children per age group.  Congratulations to all the winners.

The Easter Bunny greeted children and families and posed for some pictures too.  In addition, all of the fire apparatus of the NCFD were available for demonstration.
